The package includes linens for all the beds and sleeper sofa, where applicable, as well as towel sets equal to max occupancy, a bathmat for each full bathroom and 2 kitchen towels. For rentals outside of that timeframe, guests will need to bring their own or we have a rental option upon request.
If fishing is your passion, then then stop your search now! Formerly the fishing retreat of the Trimper family (Trimper's Rides), this home features a private pier for some of the best dockside fishing. As you go out to the end of the pier, it drops off to a depth of 45 Ft. and that's where the magic happens. Fisherman "in the know" are commonly seen fishing around this area as it is a notorious hot spot. But for you, just drop your fishing line and enjoy. If fishing isn't your thing, then we still have you covered. This property boasts some of the most amazing views on the water. Sit and enjoy the day as boats come by bringing in their catch to the local marinas. In the evening, sit back and wait for a front row seat to one of the best sunsets on the east coast! Located near 6th street, your family will enjoy the easy access to the boardwalk and all the fun activities it offers. There are also many great restaurants/bars to choose from, so leave your car parked!
The unit itself has had many updates including flooring, carpeting, painting and TV's but has been able to maintain its Ocean City charm. There is a full kitchen available for those days you want to eat in along with a washer and dryer. The sliding doors and windows invite the relaxing breezes of the bay into the unit and keep it comfy, but AC is available if you need it. My personal favorite part of this house is the dining room table. It was originally designed so that a previous owner could fish directly from the comfort of his home on cold days. The top used to lift up and he would be able to drop a line down to the water below. Now sealed, it still features a see-through top that allows you to see down into the bay! THINGS TO KNOW:
* Guests should have a valid MD fishing license.
* Contactless check-in process. No waiting in line for a key.
* Sorry no pets allowed.
* This is a non-smoking/ non-vaping unit.
* This unit does not rent to graduating seniors or to parents renting on behalf of graduating seniors. Sorry, no exceptions. All individuals in a non-family group must be a minimum of 25. The minimum age for groups increases to 30 on holiday weekends.
* This condo is on the 1st floor. Islander is not an elevator building.
* The boardwalk runs from the inlet to 27th street. This condo is on 6th street.
* One uncovered parking spot is provided.
* The pier is not available to dock boats, jet skis, etc.
* We provide a welcome packet which includes toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels, dish washing liquid, and dishwasher pods.
* No extra stop at a separate office location required. Guests will receive complete check-in information via email prior to arrival.
* TV's can be a combo of cable and/or streaming. TV viewing options are chosen by the property owner.
* The sleep total of 6 is the maximum occupancy allowed, including children and infants.

We stayed here for the country calling concerts. The location was wonderful as we could walk to the boardwalk and the concert area.

This was the second time my son and I stayed at Islander 1. It's our favorite trip of the year. The private pier, the unique table, the cleanliness and convenient location make for a really enjoyable beach trip. My only complaint is that parking is tight but that's normal in OC.

Loved the property!!! Beautiful views of the bay with postcard sunsets. Enjoyed fishing from the pier and watching dolphins swimming in the bay. Also loved the boardwalk and beach which was only a short walk away. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to everyone!

Our family has stayed many places in OCMD, but we all liked this one the best. We did a lot of fishing and just hanging out on the pier. You can't beat the view and the boat traffic is fun to watch. Everything you need is in walking distance. As others have noted in their reviews, the mattresses are not good, but that would be our only criticism. We're looking forward to staying here again soon.

The property was exactly as described and the pictures were not exaggerated. Very clean and had all the necessities to start your vacation. The fishing pier was great entertainment and a relaxing spot to have coffee and watch all the boats cruise by. It was like staying on a houseboat. Conveniently located to beach and boardwalk. This is our 3rd year staying is perfect for us. 5 minute walk to the beach and excitement of the boardwalk. Peace and quite and beautiful scenery is out the back door. Fishing from the dock is excellent. We love just sitting on the porch and watching the birds, boats and dolphins. This property gives the perfect balance of activity and excitement with relaxation.

My husband and I have been coming to O. C. for over 47 yrs and stayed at the Islander before it was the Islander. It had been 3 yrs since we have been to the Islander. Our son and daughter surprised us a long weeked . we alwats stayed in #4. Through the years we have stayed in every unit but 1. It was great. The only complaint is the mattress in master bedroom. Very uncomfortable. It needs a new one. When you go away for vaca you want a good night rest. Otherwise everything you need is right there. I missed the Islander.

Could readily recommend this rental. The unit was clean, had a well equipped kitchen and a great view across the bay. Owner was immediately responsive to one minor concern. The location is within walking distance of the Boardwalk and several restaurants and within easy driving distance of Chincoteague ( nature reserve) and Berlin ( historic city with interesting shops). Our favorite feature of this unit was the pier and the gulls that landed on it

My husband and I really enjoyed our nine day stay at Islander 1. We left the windows open and enjoyed the nice breezes and fresh air. I enjoyed the owners special touches with the ceiling and trim and also enjoyed the decor. The outside furniture was nice as was the dock. We did let the manager know that our fishing was held back by a bunch of debris around the end of the pier that we couldn't keep from getting snagged on. The manager listened and said she would check in to having it removed. We saw dolphins at least 5 days and also enjoyed watching the boats go by. The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous! I do believe the owners claim "The Best Fishing in Ocean City....." IF the debris collected around the pier is removed And if you don't go during the mating horseshoe crab convention. Almost every cast we made we caught mating horseshoe crabs! All that love making must have made them hungry!
Great property with deck right on the bay. We stayed for Country Calling Festival and the location was perfect. About a 15 minute walk to the entrance of the festival. Great little market just down the street for all of your needs. Would definitely stay again. FYI- fishing boats come right up to the pier in the morning so be careful to close the curtains!!
